Tarmac chose to be sited in our quarry as we have one of the highest PSV values in the county (65+). PSV is the abbreviation for 'Polished Stone Value'. Aggregates with a value of 60 and over are regarded as High Skid Resistant Aggregate. Aggregates with a value of 65 and over are needed for particularly high stressed sites, such as motorways. The higher, the better in the production of asphalt.

Tarmac has now been in production since 2nd September 2002. Asphalt can be bought both commercially or private by delivery or collection.
